Ryan Dillman & Shadow River is a 5 piece Bluegrass band from the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. They have been touring Canada and the USA for the last 8 years, entertaining audiences wherever they go with their music, stories and workshops! The group features music steeped in the tradition of the founding fathers of Bluegrass, as well as fresh new material written and performed with the same rigour and diligence.

Over their existence, they have been honoured to have receive the following accolades from the Eastern Canada Bluegrass Awards Show:

About Us

The Annual Nova Scotia Bluegrass & Oldtime Music Festival, Canada’s oldest continuously operating Bluegrass Festival is now produced at the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Grounds in Bible Hill near Truro, which is at the centre of Nova Scotia. The Downeast Bluegrass & Oldtime Music Society produces this event.

The site location has changed a few times over the years but the festival continues to produce some of the finest entertainment in Eastern Canada.
